BLOOD WAS SHED IN THE SIDE GLANCE FIGHT
The incident occurred on January 14 at around 20:20 in Emek Street, Mehmet Nesih Özmen Neighborhood. A dispute arose between two groups, who were previously unknown to each other, after leaving a café due to the claim of 'side glances'. The situation quickly escalated into a knife fight, during which E.Ç. (15) stabbed Atlas Çağlayan in the chest with a knife described as a switchblade.
ATLAS LOST HIS LIFE
Severely injured Atlas Çağlayan was taken to Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital by an ambulance called to the scene. Despite all interventions made here, Çağlayan could not be saved. The suspect E.Ç., who was caught by police teams after the incident, was detained along with the knife. E.Ç. was arrested by the court he was brought to.
