In Tekirdağ, the "First Breath First Support" project was officially launched to strengthen the family structure, ease the economic burden on young couples, and encourage having children. The promotional launch of the project, carried out in partnership with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and the Turkish Red Crescent Tekirdağ Branch, was held in a reception hall in the city.
Within the scope of the project, financial assistance totaling 48,000 lira, consisting of 4,000 lira per month for 12 months, will be provided for the newborn children of couples who benefit from the Ministry of Family and Social Services' "Support for Young People Getting Married Project" and meet the specified criteria.
"WE AIM TO EXPAND IT ACROSS TURKEY"
Şuayip Tunçal, Deputy Director General of Family and Community Services at the Ministry of Family and Social Services, who spoke at the introductory program, stated that the project not only provides an economic contribution but is also a strategic step in protecting the family institution. Drawing attention to the fact that couples who have children after marriage should not be left alone, Tunçal emphasized that they aim to lead the expansion of this model throughout Turkey.
Hüseyin Özdemir, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, stated that the support should not be limited only to the first days of marriage, and that steps to increase solidarity within the family during children's upbringing years will continue.
