Palestinians struggling to survive in the shadow of war in Gaza have now also faced a flood disaster caused by heavy rains. In the region where thousands of tents were submerged and families are trying to survive in cold and mud, a post from an X account named Adam Sinwar turned into a harsh call to the Islamic world: "Where is the two-billion-strong ummah? You couldn't stop the massacre, at least send something in!"
Severe rains affecting Gaza have further worsened the lives of Palestinians who left their homes due to the war and took shelter in tents. In the area where thousands of tents were submerged, families are struggling with rainwater, while a post from an X account named Adam Sinwar made a striking call for help to the Islamic world: "Where is the two-billion-strong Ummah? You couldn't stop the massacre, at least let something in!"
RAINWATER FLOODED THE TENTS
Severe rains affecting the Gaza Strip hit tent camps housing displaced Palestinians. According to a statement by the government's media office in Gaza, approximately 70,000 tents were submerged within 12 hours.
Rainwater that poured into the tents made beds, blankets, and families' limited belongings unusable. Families with no other place to shelter had to struggle for survival among mud and puddles with their children.
Civil Defense teams were reported to have received 1,500 calls for help within about 10 hours. Teams are having difficulty reaching everyone affected by the flood due to insufficient resources.
"WHERE IS THE TWO-BILLION-STRONG UMMAH?"
In a post from an X account named Adam Sinwar regarding the grave situation in Gaza, a call was made to the Islamic world and the international community.
In the call, accompanied by footage of tents submerged in water, the following statements were used:
"Where is the two-billion-strong Ummah? You couldn't stop the massacre, at least let something in."
The reaction expressed in the post drew attention not only to the damage caused by the rains in Gaza but also to the obstacles to humanitarian aid expected to reach the region.
ABU OBEIDA'S WORDS WERE REMEMBERED AGAIN
The latest developments in Gaza also brought back to the agenda the earlier calls by Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
Abu Obeida's reaction to the fact that even flour and basic necessities could not reach Gaza was remembered again today with the humanitarian situation.
WINTER CONDITIONS IN GAZA INCREASE CONCERN
As the shelter crisis in Gaza worsens further with the rains, it is stated that families in the region urgently need tents, blankets, fuel, and heating supplies.
On one side, tents filled with rainwater; on the other, humanitarian aid expected to reach the region... The worsening winter conditions in Gaza make the struggle for survival of displaced Palestinians even harder.
