Sudden and intensifying extreme rainfall in the Silifke district of Mersin negatively affected daily life. Due to the heavy rainfall, floodwaters accumulating on avenues and streets in the district center brought transportation to a standstill.

TRANSPORTATION STOPPED ON THE HOSPITAL ROAD

One of the points most affected by the extreme rainfall was the Silifke State Hospital road. When the road completely filled with water, vehicle passage became difficult. In particular, passenger cars and small vehicles had difficulty advancing and had to stop, while large vehicles tried to advance in a controlled manner through the puddles.
