MOTORCYCLE PATROL UNITS' ATTENTION UNMASKED THE FAKE IDENTITY
The incident occurred during routine inspections carried out by motorcycle patrol units affiliated with the Kütahya Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate on Pekmez Pazarı Street in Paşam Sultan Neighborhood. While on patrol, the teams stopped a suspicious individual and checked his ID. Detecting the presented ID was fake, the motorcycle patrol units immediately detained the suspect.
During an in-depth fingerprint and archive examination at the police station, the suspect's real identity was revealed to be Nazar Mohammad Nazari. Police investigations determined that Nazari had been wanted globally via a red notice by the Interpol Europol Directorate since November 23, 2023.
HE HAS A FINALIZED SENTENCE FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
Upon reviewing the international fugitive's file, it was found that he was also wanted for multiple crimes in Turkey. It was determined that Nazari had a finalized prison sentence of 12 years and 6 months for the crime of "Drug or Stimulant Substance Trafficking" issued by the Konya Heavy Criminal Court, along with a judicial fine of 25,000 TL.
FIVE SEPARATE CRIME RECORDS UNCOVERED
During police interrogation, the notorious fugitive's extensive criminal record was revealed. Investigations into the background of the Afghan national Nazari uncovered a total of 5 separate crime records: 3 for the crime of "Escape of Convict or Detainee" and 2 for "Drug Trafficking."
The suspect, wanted worldwide but caught on the streets of Kütahya, was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate for the completion of necessary legal procedures. It was reported that a comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
