In the statement made by the Governorship, it was noted that some media outlets and social media platforms contained allegations that the Provincial Press and Public Relations Director, Ömer Tekin, used threatening and insulting expressions towards a citizen.
It was stated in the statement that the aforementioned allegations are being evaluated in terms of compliance with the requirements of public service, the legislation to which state officials are subject, and the ethical principles that public officials must adhere to, and in this context, the necessary administrative investigation has been initiated against the Provincial Press and Public Relations Director, Ömer Tekin.

After the social media posts of a citizen who had been carrying out an environmental struggle against a mining company operating in the Çatalağaç village of the Doğankent district of Giresun, it was alleged that the Provincial Press and Public Relations Director, Ömer Tekin, used threatening and insulting expressions towards Aydın.
Tekin's message shared from his social media account, which included the words directed at the citizen, "With that ponytail hair of yours, I will tie your tongue. Even the owners who hold your chain cannot claim ownership of you. If you involve the family in this, I will come through your lineage and leave through your offspring. Do not push my limits. I am warning you for the last time..." was reflected in the public eye.
