CHP Istanbul Deputy Oğuz Kaan Salıcı submitted a parliamentary question regarding the matter. Salıcı asked Trade Minister Ömer Bolat how many of the companies that were found to have engaged in imitation and adulteration despite having a "Halal certificate" had their certificates revoked, and whether these companies were subjected to "Halal" inspections.
The meatball seller Yusuf, who has made headlines with allegations of 'pork meat', has been revealed to hold a 'halal certificate'. Following this situation, the certificates issued by the Halal Accreditation Institution, affiliated with the Ministry of Trade, have once again become the focus of criticism.

CHP Istanbul Deputy Oğuz Kaan Salıcı asked Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat how many businesses among those identified as engaging in imitation and adulteration hold a 'halal certificate'. In the parliamentary question he submitted, Salıcı reminded that it has been determined that some products contained pork, horse, and donkey meat, stating that this situation also negatively affects honest tradesmen.
"ARE THERE COMPANIES THAT WERE ISSUED CERTIFICATES DESPITE NOT MEETING THE CONDITIONS?"
Salıcı asked Bolat how many of the companies identified as engaging in imitation and adulteration have had their 'halal certificates' revoked, and whether 'halal' inspections have been conducted on these companies. Additionally, Salıcı requested clarification on whether there are any companies that were found to have been issued a 'halal certificate' despite not meeting the conditions.
