The head of the Economics Department at Siirt University and faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semih Serkant Aktuğ, was found dead in his apartment at the dormitory where he was staying. Aktuğ's body was taken to the morgue of Siirt Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
Semih Serkant Aktuğ (50), the Head of the Department of Economics and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Siirt University, was found dead in his apartment in the dormitory where he was staying.
The incident occurred in the afternoon at the Siirt University Kezer Campus. Relatives and colleagues of Associate Professor Dr. Semih Serkant Aktuğ, who had not heard from him for a while, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
IT WAS DETERMINED THAT HE HAD PASSED AWAY
Upon the notification, health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. Firefighters reached Aktuğ's apartment on the 4th floor of the building he was staying in using a ladder truck. The teams that entered found Aktuğ motionless on the floor. Upon examination, it was stated that Aktuğ had passed away.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT
Aktuğ's body was taken to the morgue of Siirt Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death after the examinations. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
