The Supreme Election Board (YSK) rejected the objection regarding the absolute nullity decision in the CHP congress case. After announcing the decision, YSK President Serdar Mutta addressed the cameras and used the term 'Chairman' for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
YSK Chairman Serdar Mutta made statements regarding the rejection of CHP's 'absolute nullity' objection.
Mutta used the following expressions in his press statement in front of the Supreme Electoral Council:
"The decision in question was sent to our council via the system by the relevant regional court of appeals as of last night. Accordingly, in today's meeting, regarding the petition submitted to our chairmanship by the Supreme Electoral Council representative, in the CHP Extraordinary Congress, the İstanbul Extraordinary Provincial Congress, the elections held at the 39th İstanbul Congress, and the delegations of delegates elected at the ordinary congress of November 4-5, 2023 have ended, the requests that those elected in the congresses and conventions continue their duties have been denied.
In the petition dated May 22, 2006, signed by CHP attorney Gökhan Sultan, regarding the termination of Mehmet Hadi Yakupoğlu's membership in the CHP YSK representation by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, there is no need for a separate decision on disregarding all applications. Regarding the letter sent to our council chairmanship by the Ankara Regional Court, since our council has no duties and authorities granted by the constitution and laws concerning the execution of civil court decisions, it has been decided to refer the letter to the local administration without any action. The rationale will be explained later."
