In the 64 new UFO files released by the Pentagon at the direction of US President Donald Trump, moments of fighter jets striking mysterious objects in the sky, spheres evading radar over the skies of Syria and the Yellow Sea, and a senior intelligence officer's chilling 'close encounter' confessions were included, while opponents described the move as an attempt to divert the agenda from the Iran war.

The process of releasing government reports on Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump's directive, continued today with the disclosure of 64 new files. The new package includes six documents, seven audio recordings, and 51 images.

WHAT IS IN THE NEW FILES?

The majority of the new images, released on the Department of Defense's dedicated website, are based on strange incidents recorded between 2018 and 2023 within the area of operations of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). A video recorded over the Yellow Sea in January 2023 shows a small, round object flying in the distance. In the footage, the round object can be seen moving at extremely high speed from left to right when the camera zooms in.

A FIGHTER JET SHOT ONE

In a video from 2022, with no location provided, numerous spherical objects are seen entering and exiting the water near a submarine.

Among the images of unidentified anomalous events captured by military aircraft cameras and sensors is a moment in 2023 when a fighter jet shot an unidentified object over Lake Huron.

IMAGES AND DOCUMENTS FROM THE SOVIET UNION AND SYRIA

In footage recorded in Syria in 2021, an object moving in the sky is seen suddenly changing direction and accelerating, becoming untrackable by the sensor.

In a video dated April 2024, an object is visible rapidly passing by an aircraft. It is reported that the images, believed to be from an infrared sensor of the U.S. Coast Guard, were recorded in the southeastern United States.

The documents also include historical UFO sighting records, a report on Soviet Union intelligence activities, and UFO tip files from the U.S. Department of Energy.

TESTIMONY OF AN INTELLIGENCE OFFICER ON UFO SIGHTINGS ALSO SHARED

One of the most striking new releases was the statement of a senior intelligence officer regarding UFO sightings. The officer, who detailed an experience on a military helicopter in late 2025, said that he and the crew experienced "a series of close Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) lasting more than an hour." The officer stated, "From a distance, against the backdrop of the mountain, we saw countless orange spheres spreading in all directions. This image lasted for a few minutes and then disappeared."

In his statement, the officer said, "Along with the pilots, I also saw with the naked eye two large spheres glowing side by side, close to the helicopter on our right side, hovering just above the rotor disc. They were oval-shaped. They were orange with a white or yellow center, emitting light in all directions."

"ATTEMPT TO DISTRACT THE PUBLIC FROM THE IRAN WAR"

The first package of UFO files was released on May 8. Following this step, figures such as former U.S. Congress member Marjorie Taylor Greene and famous commentator Joe Rogan accused President Trump of trying to divert public attention from the Iran war by releasing the UFO files.
