In 2011, a cyclist on Kaplıca Street in the Ilgın district was run over by a truck and lost his life. It was believed that the deceased was Durmuş Çıplak. His son, Ahmet Çıplak, stated during the identification of the body, which was unrecognizable, that the deceased was his father. After the procedures, the body was handed over to the family. While mourning at home, it was revealed that the deceased was someone else when Durmuş Çıplak returned from fishing.

It was stated that Durmuş Çıplak's funeral would be held today at noon at Behlülbey Cemetery.
