The Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has determined the causes of death for the 78 individuals who lost their lives in the fire disaster in Kartalkaya. The indictment states that 54 people died from carbon monoxide poisoning, 4 from falling from a height, and 20 from burning. Additionally, it was found that the fire originated from the 'grill plate' device in the 'show' section of the restaurant.
The indictment prepared by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the fire disaster in Kartalkaya specifies the causes of death of the 78 individuals who lost their lives. It was determined that 54 people died from carbon monoxide poisoning, 4 from falling from a height, and 20 from burning.
THE FIRE STARTED FROM A "GRILL PLATE" DEVICE
On the night of January 21, 78 people lost their lives in a fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Kartalkaya, one of Bolu's important winter tourism centers. In the investigation initiated by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after the fire, 41 suspects have been detained so far. While 28 suspects were arrested, 9 were later released. The detention of 19 individuals, including hotel owner Halit Ergül, his wife and board member Emine Murtezaoğlu Ergül, their daughters Elif Aras and Ceyda Hacıbekiroğlu, the hotel's general manager Emir Aras, Provincial Special Administration Secretary Sırrı Köstereli, Fire Chief Kenan Coşkun, and Bolu Deputy Mayor Sedat Gülener, continues. The 189-page report prepared by the expert committee stated that the fire originated from the "grill plate" device used in the "show" section of the restaurant located on the 4th floor of the hotel.
The indictment regarding the fire disaster has been completed and sent to the Bolu 1st Heavy Penal Court. The Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit seeking a total of 1998 years of imprisonment for 13 individuals and up to 22 years and 6 months for 19 individuals.

54 PEOPLE WHO WERE TRAPPED IN SMOKE LOST THEIR LIVES
Due to carbon monoxide and smoke gas poisoning, the following individuals lost their lives: Doğa Doğan, Burcu Güngör, Duygu Doğan, Mert Doğan, Mavi Doğan, Gülçin Akişli, Şenol Akişli, Pelin Güngör, Ayşemin Elif Doğan, Mina Akişli, Defne Arkadaş İnal, Laura Kurtanidze, Dila İnal, Yasemen Boncuk Tüzgiray, Ömür Kotan, Habibe Çetiz, Vedat Çetiz, Doruk Sarıtaş, Ala Dora Türkmen, Ahmet Çetiz, Nehir Sarıtaş, Yüce Ata Türkmen, Atlas Kaan Tokcan, Kemal Tokcan, Mehmet Cem Doğan, Özüm Karataşlı, Ayşe Maya Doğan, Rümeysa Gültekin, Kürşat Yıldız, Nergiz Yıldız, Müge Suyolcu, Vedia Nil Apak, Enes Gültekin, Eren Bağcı, Ferda Apak, Seha Müge Turan, Alya Turan, Lalin Doğan, Ceren Yaman Doğan, Pera Suyolcu, Oya Kanpolat, Ebru Boduroğlu, Demir Tüzgiray, Esat Çetiz, Atakan Yalçın, Derin Yalçın, Ayşe Neva Türkmen, Nedim Türkmen, Atıl Enis Tokcan, Kerem Güngör, Kıvanç Güngör, Can Tokcan, Yılmaz Sarıtaş, and Elif Nas Boduroğlu.
THEY WERE FORCED TO JUMP OUT OF THE WINDOW
It was stated in the indictment that Dilara Ermanoğlu, Eslem Uyanık, Alican Boduroğlu, and Şevval Şahin, who were forced to jump out of the window due to the dense smoke filling their rooms during the fire, lost their lives as a result of falling from a height.
20 PEOPLE DIED BY BURNING
It was determined that those who were in the rooms reached by the flames and whose identities were confirmed by DNA testing, including Kübra Altın, Alya Altın, Sedat Çetiz, Alp Mercan, Yiğit Gençbay, Ela İnal, Defne Tüzgiray, Eray Tüzgiray, Esra Nazik, Seden Nurgül Dayı, Süleyman Dayı, Ela Dayı, Buse Dayı, Yusuf Sinaneddin Gültekin, Bilal Gültekin, Muhammed Selim Gültekin, Zehra Sena Gültekin, Bekir Sadık Gültekin, Sümeyye Güner, and Feray Kanpolat, lost their lives by burning.
Additionally, it was noted in the indictment submitted to the Bolu 1st Heavy Penal Court that 7 of the 133 injured individuals were severely injured due to bone fractures and 3 were hospitalized due to severe smoke poisoning.
