Former FBI Director James Comey, who shared a photo of a formation resembling "8647" made of seashells on the beach, has become a target in the country due to allegations that he called for a "assassination of Trump." It has been reported that the U.S. Secret Service has questioned Comey, while it was stated that Trump will continue to be protected at the highest level. In previous years, Trump referred to Comey as a "terrible man."

Former FBI Director James Comey made headlines with a social media post. A photo of the arrangement of seashells shaped like "8647" on the beach was interpreted by the U.S. press as 'extremely dangerous.' Following the reactions to his post, Comey deleted the photo.

"I AM AGAINST ALL FORMS OF VIOLENCE"

In a statement he made on Instagram, Comey said; "I shared a photo of the shells I saw on my walk today. I thought it was a political message. However, I didn't realize that some people associated these numbers with violence. I am against all forms of violence, so I deleted the post."

"THE CODE '8647' SPARKED A GREAT DEBATE"

The "8647" code in the post caused a significant reaction on social media. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the expression "86" in American slang means "to throw out" or "to get rid of." It is said that this term originated from a bar called Chumley's in New York in the 1930s and was associated with the ejection of drunken customers.

The number "47" is thought to refer to Donald Trump, the 47th president of the United States. For this reason, Trump supporters claim that the combination "86 47" is a call for Trump's elimination.

U.S. SECRET SERVICE TOOK ACTION

After the situation escalated, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announced that the Secret Service under her department had launched an investigation into the matter. "We are aware of the social media post made by former FBI Director James Comey. We are investigating this threat and will respond appropriately," she said. It was reported that the U.S. Secret Service questioned former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey, who was accused of making a "call for assassination" against President Donald Trump.

TRUMP HAD USED THE PHRASE "A TERRIBLE PERSON"

James Comey was appointed as FBI Director by Obama in 2013 but was dismissed by Trump in 2017. While in office, Comey was conducting an investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 U.S. elections. Trump had referred to Comey's actions as a 'witch hunt.' In 2019, Trump described Comey as 'a terrible person' and criticized the leadership team at the FBI as 'not clean.'
