Let me put it this way, the hotel was already in God's hands. An inspection was conducted on December 12, and a label was stuck on the elevator. It said, 'It is dangerous and prohibited to use this elevator.' We used that elevator until the day of the fire.

15 PEOPLE HAD BEEN ARRESTED

As part of the investigation, 15 suspects, including Grand Kartal Hotel owner Halit Ergül, the company's general manager Emir Aras, and hotel manager Zeki Yılmaz, who had previously been detained, were arrested, while 6 people were released under judicial control.
