In the Kaynaşlı district of Düzce, Kadir Kıyak's house has been subjected to fire six times, with the last fire rendering the house completely unusable. The cause of the fires has not yet been determined, and the homeowner, Kıyak, stated that he has no place to stay and is seeking help from the authorities.
The house belonging to a man in Düzce, whose home had previously burned down five times for an unknown reason, was set on fire again at midnight, rendering it unusable.
The incident occurred late at night in Yeşiltepe village, located in the Kaynaşlı district of Düzce. According to reports, a sixth fire broke out in the house of Kadir Kıyak, whose home had previously burned down five times from different locations. This time, the house became completely unusable, and it was stated that no official document could be provided regarding the cause of the fires, and they did not know why they occurred.
"I HAVE NO PLACE TO STAY"
Kadir Kıyak, the homeowner, stated that he did not know the cause of the fires and that he had no place to stay, saying, "The situation is exactly as it appears. I moved into this house in 2014. The house completely burned down in 2020. After five years, the house started burning again on the 20th of last month. Until now, there have been constant fires in this house.
Bed frames, wardrobes, and walls are always catching fire. This time, it started from the cabinet in the bathroom. There have been six fires in this house. Right now, I have no place to stay. All the installations in the house have been examined. Nothing was found. Some say it's gas, some say it's treasure, some say it's a burial site. Some say it's something related to three letters. There are rumors like this. Even if I had an enemy, they wouldn't act this way," he expressed.
"WE DON'T KNOW WHY IT BURNED"
Sabri Kıyak, a villager who rushed to help upon hearing about the fire, said, "We received the news and came here immediately. When we arrived, the fire had not yet reached the upper parts. It took less than a minute for the fire to reach the upper floor. It spread very quickly. The fire brigade arrived and intervened immediately, first extinguishing it from the inside and then from the outside. Despite extinguishing the inside, it caught fire again. They went inside and worked to extinguish it again.
They worked for about an hour and a half to extinguish it, and it completely burned down. This time, the fire is coming from the bathroom. Nothing related to electricity was found. The officials who came also conducted the same checks. We don't know how it will be officially recorded," he stated. Kadir Kıyak, a 52-year-old married man and father of three, indicated that he had no place to stay and was waiting for help from the authorities.
