Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani announced that Iran-backed Houthis targeted the Maashiq Presidential Palace in the temporary capital, Aden, with 5 missiles. Iryani said that the Prime Minister and cabinet members in the palace were fine, and that new details would be announced later.

Information Minister al-Iryani, in a written statement from his account on the social media platform of US-based company X, said, "The terrorist Houthi militia just targeted the Maashiq Presidential Palace in the temporary capital, Aden, with 5 missiles."

"PRIME MINISTER AND CABINET MEMBERS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION"

Conveying that the Yemeni Prime Minister and cabinet members at the Maashiq Palace were well, al-Iryani noted that new details regarding the Houthi attack would be announced later.

Yemen has been the scene of a civil war that began after Iran-backed Houthis took control of the capital Sanaa and some provinces in September 2014.

While clashes between government forces and the Houthis in the country continue to deepen the humanitarian crisis, the Saudi-led Arab Coalition has been supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government since March 2015.
