The incident that made hearts skip a beat in Manisa! The disabled elevator crashed to the ground, injuring 4 people.

The terrifying incident occurred in Enes Apartment located on 327th street in 4 Eylül neighborhood of Kula district in Manisa. According to the information obtained, 60-year-old disabled person Talat Kırkulak, along with Suat Kaya (59), Güllü Kaya (59), and Iraz Kaya (71) who came to visit, wanted to descend to the ground floor using the disabled elevator system installed with the caraskal system in the 3-story building. The elevator, which could not bear the weight of the 4 people and the loads they were carrying, crashed to the ground with a loud noise when it was about 10 meters away from the ground.

TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE

While the residents of the neighborhood helped the 4 people inside the elevator with their own means, they also reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, fire brigade, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams from Kula Fire Brigade, affiliated with Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, took security measures in the elevator, and after the health teams provided initial treatment to the injured, they were transported to Kula State Hospital by ambulances. The treatment of the injured is still ongoing there.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the elevator, which caused the injury of 4 people as a result of an accident, belonged to disabled person Talat Kırkulak and was used by Kırkulak to go up and down to his residence. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
