ISRAELI BLOCKADE OF THE SUMUD FLEET
The Spring mission of the Global Sumud Fleet, which set out to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, was blockaded by warships and drones reportedly belonging to Israel approximately 54 nautical miles west of the island of Crete, near Greek territorial waters.
INTERVENTION IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS
According to information received from those on the fleet, numerous drones were spotted over the boats, some boats were targeted with lasers, and flares were fired. It was reported that 7 warships were present around the blockaded fleet.
It was stated that elements believed to be from the Israeli navy warned the aid boats to turn back. Subsequently, intervention against the fleet began. The Israeli army intervened against the fleet in international waters.
