The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched a suo moto investigation and issued a detention order against Tamar Tanrıyar, who is alleged to have published videos with criminal content on social media, on charges of 'Insulting the President' and 'Publicly disseminating misleading information.'
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has taken action against Tamar Tanrıyar, who is alleged to have made criminal posts publicly on social media platforms.
INVESTIGATION AND DETENTION ORDER FOR TWO SEPARATE CRIMES
In a statement by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was reported that an investigation has been launched against Tamar Tanrıyar for the crimes of "Insulting the President" and "Publicly disseminating misleading information." It was also noted that a detention order was issued for Tanrıyar within the scope of the investigation.
The statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is as follows: "By our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an ex officio investigation has been initiated against the suspect Tamar Tanrıyar, who was found to have made posts with criminal content publicly on some social media platforms, for the crimes of Insulting the President, regulated under Article 299 of the Turkish Penal Code, and publicly disseminating misleading information, regulated under Article 217/A, and a detention order has been issued for the suspect. Respectfully announced to the public."
ANKARA CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE HAD ALSO LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION
Previously, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had also launched an investigation against Tamar Tanrıyar for the crimes of "Insult" and "Defamation."
