The death of Norway's King Harald V has caused Oslo Mayor Anne Lindboe to change her wedding plans. Lindboe canceled the wedding ceremony she had planned to hold with her fiancé of five years, Pål Sandvid, on Friday, due to the king's passing on the same day.
In a post on her social media account, Lindboe published a message of condolence for Harald V. The Mayor stated, "It's hard to imagine an Oslo and a Norway without you. You didn't need a crown to be a king."

Lindboe and Pål Sandvid had announced their engagement this past June, after a five-year relationship.
The mayor's political advisor stated that no new date has yet been set for the wedding ceremony, which was canceled due to the king's death.

Norway's King Harald V died at the age of 89 while undergoing treatment for a rare blood disease at the national hospital in the capital, Oslo.
