The Constitutional Court has ruled that the legal existence of the Patriotic Party and the Ayyıldız Party has ended due to their failure to hold the necessary congresses on time. It was also approved that the assets of both parties will be transferred to the treasury.
According to the decisions published in today's Official Gazette, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court filed a lawsuit for the determination of the termination of the legal existence of the Patriotic Party due to its failure to hold its first grand congress on time and to establish its mandatory organs, and the Ayyıldız Party for failing to hold its grand congress on time twice after its last grand congress.
THE ASSETS OF THE PARTIES HAVE PASSED TO THE TREASURY
The Supreme Court decided that the Patriotic Party and the Ayyıldız Party are considered dissolved and that their legal existence has ended, in accordance with Article 121 of the Political Parties Law No. 2820, referring to Article 87 of the Turkish Civil Code. Additionally, it was decided that all assets of both parties would pass to the treasury.
