An explosion on the main water transmission line in the Bodrum district of Muğla caused panic. After the explosion, pressurized water from the pipe shot meters into the air, while stone fragments scattered by the pressure broke the rear window of a luxury vehicle passing by on the road.
An explosion occurred in the main water supply line at the Demirbükü location on the Torba-Gölköy road in the Bodrum district of Muğla in the evening, for reasons not yet determined.
IT REACHED SEVERAL METERS HIGH, STONES AND DEBRIS WERE THROWN ONTO THE ROAD
With the explosion of the main water supply line, the water gushing out of the pipe under high pressure quickly reached several meters in height. While the water spreading to the surrounding area caused great activity in the region, the stones and debris around the pipe were also thrown toward the road due to the impact of the explosion.
IT HIT A VEHICLE
Meanwhile, stone fragments hit the rear window of a luxury vehicle passing on the road, causing the window to shatter. It was learned that the vehicle sustained material damage.
MUSKİ TEAMS STARTED WORK
Upon the notification, teams from the Muğla Water and Sewerage Administration (MUSKİ) were dispatched to the area. The teams started work to fix the malfunction and take the necessary security measures in the region.
The cause of the explosion is expected to become clear after the investigation to be conducted.
