In Kağıthane, a man named Rüstem Ç. went into a rage after learning that his estranged wife, Nimet Ç., whom he accused of cheating on him, was staying in the same room with their son's friend, Mehmet U. Rüstem Ç. assaulted his wife Nimet Ç. and stabbed Mehmet U. in the back. While the two were hospitalized for treatment, the attacker was arrested.
On November 18, Tuesday, around 10:30 PM, a forbidden love horror occurred in the Merkez neighborhood of Kağıthane district in Istanbul. According to allegations, 50-year-old Nimet Ç., a mother of five, left her husband Rüstem Ç. (52), with whom she had been married for 30 years, on September 27. During this period, Rüstem Ç. could not reach his wife and participated in a television program to find her.
THEY WENT TO THE HOTEL AFTER THE PROGRAM After it was revealed that his wife was in Torbalı, İzmir, Nimet Ç. and her son’s friend Mehmet U. (28) participated in a live television program two days ago. After the program, Nimet Ç. and Mehmet U. checked into a hotel in Kağıthane.
Nimet Ç. HE UNLEASHED HORROR WHEN HE SAW THEM IN THE SAME ROOM In the evening, Rüstem Ç., who was in the process of divorce, secretly entered the hotel where his wife and Mehmet U. were staying. Rüstem Ç. went to the floor where they were staying and allegedly saw his wife Nimet Ç. and Mehmet U. in a room together. Upon this, Rüstem Ç. grabbed a knife and assaulted his wife Nimet Ç. Afterward, he turned to Mehmet U. and injured him in the back and wrist. A person present at the hotel tried to stop Rüstem Ç. by hitting him with a broom. The incident was captured on security cameras.
Mehmet U. THEY ARE NOT IN LIFE-THREATENING CONDITION After the incident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the hotel upon notification. Mehmet U. and Nimet Ç., who received first aid at the scene, were taken to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital in Şişli by ambulance for treatment. It was learned that Mehmet U. was not in life-threatening condition, while Nimet Ç. was injured in her wrist. Rüstem Ç., who was taken into custody by the Kağıthane Patrol Teams, was brought to the police station.
THE AGGRESSIVE HUSBAND WAS ARRESTED During his statement here, Rüstem Ç. stated that his wife Nimet Ç., with whom he was in the process of divorce, had cheated on him with Mehmet U., and that he had secretly entered the hotel and saw them together in the room, and that he had injured Mehmet U. in the wrist and back with a knife. After completing his procedures at the police station, Rüstem Ç. was referred to the courthouse. Rüstem Ç., who was brought before the court, was arrested and sent to prison for the crime of 'intentional injury.'

THE INJURED HAS 13 CRIMINAL RECORDS On the other hand, it was revealed that the arrested Rüstem Ç. had 13 records at the police for 'ill-treatment' and 'causing injury by negligence,' while Mehmet U. had records for 'theft from a house,' 'open theft,' 'motorcycle theft,' 'forgery of official documents,' 'drug use,' 'theft from workplaces and institutions,' and 'counterfeiting money.'
