President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received the DEM Party Imrali delegation, consisting of Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Van Deputy Pervin Buldan, and Sanliurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar. During the meeting, held at the Presidential Complex and lasting 1 hour and 40 minutes, the steps to be taken regarding the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process following the approval of the framework law by the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly were discussed.

FIRST MEETING AFTER THE FRAMEWORK LAW'S ACCEPTANCE: LASTED 1 HOUR 40 MINUTES
The meeting, which took place after the framework law passed the TBMM General Assembly with 467 votes in favor and lasted 1 hour 40 minutes, was held behind closed doors.
AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Head Ibrahim Kalin also attended the reception at the Presidential Complex.
BULDAN: PROGRESS NEEDS TO BE MADE QUICKLY WITHOUT PROLONGING IT
Before the meeting, Pervin Buldan, speaking to the press at Parliament, said: "An important stage has been reached. Of course, meetings and consultations are held at every stage, but now a different stage has been reached. We also want to state that this meeting is valuable after the law was voted on in Parliament. We will make a written statement later. The process must progress rapidly. Progress needs to be made quickly without prolonging it and without allowing the process to be infected. We hope to reach a conclusion as soon as possible.
We also need to have a meeting with Mr. Ocalan and with Mr. Numan. Of course, our routine meetings with political parties will continue, but there is nothing planned at the moment. Apart from this, our thoughts on the urgent implementation of the constitution and ECHR decisions without waiting for the MGK report, depending on the legal framework, are also important. There is a great expectation in society on this matter. This stands before us as an important topic. Administrative and legal regulations are additionally needed. We will discuss every issue."
In response to a question about whether it is possible to establish the Monitoring Committee while Parliament is in recess, Buldan said, "If Mr. Numan Kurtulmus wants it, yes, it can be done."
SANCAR: WE WILL SHARE OUR IDEAS ON THE ROADMAP
Mithat Sancar said: "Peace is a long, delicate, and arduous path. We need law to walk this path firmly. The law of peace forms the foundation for walking this path healthily and strongly. The law accepted with a historic consensus in Parliament has become the first cornerstone of the law of peace. Of course, the law of peace also needs other elements. This first step also needs to be implemented. We will exchange views on the implementation phase and how this law will be applied. We have our ideas and suggestions. We will convey them. Ideas on the other elements of the law of peace and how to create a roadmap will be shared. We have not made a visit to the island since the law was accepted. We will plan the Imrali visit. Committees need to be formed. Thus, the process will be institutionalized. The first step for the process to progress on an institutional and legal basis is the formation of committees. We say this process should be completed as soon as possible."
