According to the forecasts of the General Directorate of Meteorology, today local showers and thundershowers are expected along the Eastern Black Sea coast, in Eastern Anatolia and the eastern part of Southeastern Anatolia, as well as around Edirne, Ordu, and Artvin. During the night and morning hours, haze and patchy fog will be effective in many regions. While temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms, AKOM reported that local precipitation episodes may occur in Istanbul tomorrow.
A partly and slightly cloudy weather is expected to prevail across most of the country, while showers will be effective in the eastern parts. No significant change in temperatures is forecast.
SHOWERS EXPECTED IN THE EAST
According to information from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the northern, inland and eastern parts of the country will be partly and at times very cloudy. Local showers and thunderstorms are expected along the Eastern Black Sea coast, the eastern part of Eastern Anatolia, the eastern part of Southeastern Anatolia, and around Edirne, Ordu and Artvin. In other regions, the weather is expected to be slightly cloudy and clear.
Precipitation in Eastern Anatolia is expected to become effective from the noon hours. There is no meteorological warning for today on the website of the General Directorate of Meteorology.
BEWARE OF FOG AND MIST IN THE MORNING HOURS
Mist and local fog are expected at night and in the morning hours in Marmara, the inland Aegean, the inland parts of the western Mediterranean, Central Anatolia and the inland parts of the western Black Sea. In areas where visibility will decrease, drivers should be careful, especially in the morning hours.
TEMPERATURES AROUND SEASONAL NORMS
No significant change is expected in air temperature, and temperatures are forecast to remain around seasonal norms. Winds are generally expected to blow lightly from the north and east, occasionally at moderate strength.
AKOM: LOCAL RAIN IN ISTANBUL TOMORROW
According to the report of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), no precipitation is expected in the city today and the temperature will range between 14 and 22 degrees. AKOM reported that tomorrow, along with partly cloudy weather, local precipitation passages of 1 to 4 kilograms per square meter may occur. On Friday, local showers of 1 to 3 kilograms per square meter are expected, while no precipitation is forecast across Istanbul over the weekend.
