A minibus that lost control in the Aliağa district of İzmir crashed into the median and overturned. In the accident, 1 person died, and 10 others were injured. It was learned that the citizens in the minibus were returning from a condolence visit in Tekirdağ and were involved in the accident on their way back.

The minibus, driven by H.Ş., which was carrying a group returning from a condolence visit in Tekirdağ, overturned after crashing into the median when the driver lost control while traveling on the North Aegean Highway in the Samurlu neighborhood of İzmir, coming from the direction of Candarlı towards İzmir.

1 PERSON DIED, 10 INJURED

Other drivers who witnessed the incident reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notification, gendarmerie, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. During the examination by the medical teams that arrived at the scene, it was determined that passenger Ömer Özer in the minibus had lost his life.

Meanwhile, the injured E.Ö., M.Ö., U.Ö., A.Ö., S.Ö., Y.Ö., Ş.Ö., A.A., H.Ş., and T.A. were transferred to nearby hospitals by ambulances. The body of Ömer Özer was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the prosecutor's examination. It was learned that the group had gone to Tekirdağ for a condolence visit and was involved in the accident on their way back.
