The Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, spoke about the discussions that took place during his address to the General Assembly. Minister Bak stated, "You should know how to throw words; if you can't, you will receive a response." In response to Bak's speech, CHP lawmakers protested by turning their backs on the minister.

The budget discussions continue in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). During the discussions, which have seen tense moments, a debate occurred today during the speech of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak.

"YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO THROW WORDS, IF YOU CAN'T, YOU'LL GET YOUR ANSWER"

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak spoke about the debates that occurred during his address to the General Assembly at the beginning of the response period. Minister Bak stated, "When the energy and tempo are high, you can't get used to it. Throwing words is a ritual, it is an art. I have practiced this art here for years as a member of parliament. I have never found myself in such a situation with any minister. You should look at yourselves, leave these matters aside. We were there too. You should know how to ask questions, you should know how to throw words. If you can't throw them, you'll get your answer from the podium," he said.

PROTEST FROM CHP DEPUTIES

Following these remarks from Minister Bak, CHP deputies protested by turning their backs on the minister. During the protest, tensions rose again between CHP and AK Party deputies. After the intervention of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Celal Adan, the deputies returned to their seats.

Minister Bak also provided information about the infrastructure works carried out in the provinces, the achievements of athletes participating in the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the efforts made in the fight against addiction, and the services offered in dormitories.
