The Ministry of Justice denied the allegations that Council of State Rapporteur Judge A.H. was attacked with a firearm in Mardin. The ministry stated that Judge A.H. attempted suicide in his hotel room with his licensed weapon and that the reports presented as a "armed attack" do not reflect the truth.
In the Council of State, the Rapporteur Judge A.H. was found shot in the head by officials in a hotel room located in the Artuklu district of Mardin, where he had gone for the Kurban Bayramı (Eid al-Adha). It was determined that A.H. had attempted suicide, and he is currently receiving treatment in intensive care, while an investigation into the incident has been initiated.

The Ministry of Justice denied the news presented to the public that Judge A.H. had been "attacked with a firearm." In the ministry's statement, it was noted, "Council of State Rapporteur Judge A.H. attempted suicide in his hotel room in Mardin with his licensed firearm and was intervened by 112 Emergency Service teams and transferred to Mardin Research Hospital. His life-threatening condition continues. The news presented as a shooting attack is not true."
