The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated the list of adulterated and counterfeit foods. The new list includes 28 additional products, one of which poses a health risk. Inspections revealed poultry meat in lahmacun filling, cow's milk in sheep yogurt, and offal in ground beef mixture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announces brands that engage in imitation and adulteration in food products on the website 'guvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr'.

28 NEW PRODUCTS ADDED TO THE LIST

On the site, under the headings 'Foods That Endanger Health' and 'Foods with Imitation and Adulteration', companies, brands, and products that threaten public health are listed. In the updated list, 28 new products were added, including 1 that endangers health. The list includes products such as olive oil, minced meat, yogurt, and honey.

POULTRY MEAT DETECTED IN LAHMACUN

One brand's product sold under the label 'beef mince-lahmacun filling' was found to contain offal. A company operating in Başakşehir, Istanbul, was found to have cow's milk in its product sold as 'sheep yogurt'. Another company in Kocasinan, Kayseri, was found to have mechanically deboned poultry meat in its products sold as 'heat-treated beef sausage'. A company operating in Çankaya, Ankara, was also found to have poultry meat in its lahmacun filling.
