Search efforts continued on their 7th day for 43-year-old miner İlker Mızrap, who went fishing with his boat in the Amasra district of Bartın on October 6 and was never heard from again after sending his wife a message saying, 'I caught the fish, I'm coming.' While searches focused on Değirmenağzı Cove after a dream seen by his miner friend, his wife and daughter asked for a result before the weather worsens.

Search efforts continued on their 7th day for 43-year-old İlker Mızrap, who went fishing in his own boat in Bartın a week ago and, after sending his wife the message "I caught the fish, I'm coming," could not be reached again. Following a dream seen by the missing miner's co-worker, the sea search efforts were concentrated in Değirmenağzı Cove.

43-year-old miner İlker Mızrap, who set out to fish with a fiber boat of his own at the end of his shift on Tuesday, October 6, in the Amasra district of Bartın, sent his wife Naciye the message "I caught the fish, I'm coming" at around 17:45 that evening, and after this message he could not be reached again. On the 2nd day of search efforts, images of the boat sinking emerged, and although the base station signal and images of the sinking boat were examined, neither İlker Mızrap nor his boat could be found.

On the final day of the search efforts that have continued for 7 days by 4 boats, including a coast guard boat using next-generation technologies, 2 drones, and one police boat, a painful detail that emerged changed the direction of the search efforts.

HIS FRIEND SAW HIM IN A DREAM: I AM AT DEĞİRMENAĞZI

Following a dream that İlker Mızrap's miner friend Şenol Bıçakçı had last night, search efforts shifted to Değirmenağzı Cove, about 4 miles from Tavşan Island. While Coast Guard boats and fishing boats conduct search efforts in the area with trawls, searches are also being carried out in Değirmenağzı Cove and its open waters with underwater imaging systems and divers.

The 43-year-old wife of missing miner İlker Mızrap, Naciye, and his 17-year-old daughter Açelya, who have been following the search efforts from the Amasra shore, said that despite the past 7 days, no trace had been found. Stating that after the dream seen last night by İlker Mızrap's miner friend, efforts were concentrated in Değirmenağzı, the grieving wife Naciye Mızrap said, "His miner friend saw it in his dream. He said, 'I am at Değirmenağzı. I am at a depth of 4 meters, I'm stuck. Let them search for me here, not somewhere else.' The efforts were started there today. Our fate has been left to dreams."

THEY ARE WAITING FOR A RESULT BEFORE THE WEATHER TURNS

Also recalling that rain and storm are expected tomorrow, Naciye Mızrap called out to government officials and said, "We still haven't found him. The efforts continue today, but tomorrow the weather will turn. On the 7th day there is still no trace. I am calling out to the country's leaders. You are parents too. My children are waiting for their father."

HIS DAUGHTER AÇELYA: LET MY FATHER BE FOUND DEAD OR ALIVE

17-year-old Açelya, who wants her father to be found dead or alive, said, "After all, today is the last day. Tomorrow the weather will turn, a storm is coming. We want to get a good or bad result. We want my father to be found and come back somehow. We don't want to experience the pain of losing him, of not finding him, too. For 8 days we have been unable to reach either my father or the boat. I don't want to think about what my father might have gone through. You have spouses and children too. Understand us with a little empathy. We want the efforts to be intensified even more. I now want my father to be found dead or alive."
