The National Intelligence Organization neutralized Şiraz Ömer, one of the so-called leaders of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, in a targeted operation in Syria. HE WAS A MANAGER IN THE ORGANIZATION'S FINANCIAL STRUCTURE
Shiraz Ömer, who served as a manager in the financial structure of PKK/YPG, was on MIT's target list. The terrorist, whose location was identified as a result of MIT's intelligence operations, was tracked step by step.
NEUTRALIZED WITH A POINT OPERATION
At the most suitable time when conditions were met, Ömer, affiliated with PKK/YPG, was neutralized with a point operation carried out on the Rumeylan-Malikiye road in Syria.
WHO IS ŞİRAZ ÖMER, CODE-NAMED SÖZDAR AFRİN?
Shiraz Ömer joined the organization in 2012. He was part of the so-called Rojava Secretariat, which is the Syrian administration of the organization. After operating for a while in Iraq/Kandil, he moved to the Syrian territory. He operated at a so-called responsible level in the regions of Ayn El Arap, Hasakah, and Malikiye.
At one point, he served as the spokesperson for the organization's women's structure, PKK/YPJ. Most recently, he was serving as a manager in the organization's financial structure.
