FOUND DEAD WHEN THE DOOR WAS OPENED
The incident occurred around 10:30 AM at Yenidoğan Mosque, located at the intersection of Adnan Selekler Street and 3096 Street in the Yenidoğan neighborhood of Kepez district. According to the information obtained, citizens who came to the mosque's lavatory area in the morning reported the situation to the mosque official when the door would not open.
Citizens who managed to open the door with difficulty saw a person lying motionless inside. After the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
CAUSE OF DEATH UNDER INVESTIGATION
In the checks carried out by the medical teams arriving at the address, it was determined that the individual, whose name was learned to be Mehmet Asal (55), had lost his life.
Following this, the Antalya Provincial Security Directorate's Public Order Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau Office and Crime Scene Investigation teams were dispatched to the scene. After the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation work, Asal's lifeless body was removed to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the definitive cause of death.
WIFE AND SON OVERWHELMED WITH TEARS
It was learned that Mehmet Asal had left home in the morning with his vehicle with license plate 07 AYM 804, while his wife and son, who arrived upon hearing the news, were overwhelmed with tears. The son tried to calm his mother, who was crying in the mosque courtyard.
