Security camera footage has emerged showing the moments when suspect Mehmet Emin Yüksel and 4 people with him fled after an armed attack at a residence in Büyükçekmece in which Yasin Binarci lost his life and Mehmet Işık was injured. Yüksel, who was found dead in Bağcılar one day after the incident, was seen to have a bloody face.
In an armed attack on October 21 at an apartment on the 17th floor of a residence in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, Yasin Binarci (26) lost his life and Mehmet Işık was injured. The suspect of the attack, Mehmet Emin Yüksel, was found dead the next day in an abandoned car in Bağcılar. The moments when Yüksel and the 4 people with him fled the residence were captured by security cameras; in the footage, the suspect's face was seen to be bloody.
KILLED IN THE RESIDENCE
In the incident that occurred at around 13:30 on October 21 in a residence located in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood, those who heard gunshots from the residence notified the police. Upon the report, teams who went to the scene determined that Yasin Binarci and Mehmet Işık had been subjected to an armed attack in an apartment on the 17th floor. Seeing that the 2 people were covered in blood, the police notified medical teams. Medical teams who arrived at the scene determined that Yasin Binarci had lost his life. The injured Mehmet Işık was taken to the hospital after first aid. During searches in the residence, 3 handguns and a quantity of narcotic substance were seized.
SUSPECT FOUND DEAD IN CAR
After the attack, teams that launched work to catch the suspect found an abandoned car with license plate 06 CJN 835 in an empty plot in the construction area on Taşocağı Street in Bağcılar Mahmutbey Neighborhood. Seeing a person lying motionless inside the car, the police notified medical teams. Medical teams determined that the person in the car had lost his life. In the identification carried out, it was determined that the deceased person was Mehmet Emin Yüksel, the suspect of the armed attack in which Yasin Binarci lost his life and Mehmet Işık was injured at the residence. During examinations by crime scene investigation teams in the car, 2 9-millimeter cartridge cases and 1 knife were seized. Police teams caught and detained 4 suspects who fled on foot after leaving the car.
