In the Bornova district of İzmir, a 20-year-old mother has been arrested in connection with the death of her newborn baby, which was found wrapped in a cloth. It was determined that the baby's mother became pregnant from a relationship outside of marriage, and after giving birth at home while hiding the situation from her family, she left the baby on the roof of her house.
In the Bornova district of İzmir, a newborn baby wrapped in cloth found on the roof of a house has died in the hospital. In the investigation regarding the baby's death, the baby's mother was arrested, and 4 suspects were released under judicial control.
A new development has occurred regarding the newborn baby found wrapped in cloth on the roof of a house in the Bornova district of İzmir. As part of the investigation, after treatment at the hospital, mother F.İ. (20) and suspects Ş.İ. (51), İ.E.Ş. (40), A.İ. (22), and 16-year-old S.İ. were taken into custody.
MOTHER ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were brought to court, where mother F.İ. was arrested, and the other suspects were released under judicial control.
SHE HID HER PREGNANCY FROM HER FAMILY
In the investigation, it was determined that F.İ. became pregnant from a non-marital relationship, hid this situation from her family, and after giving birth on her own in her bathroom, left her baby wrapped in cloth on the roof of the residence.
THE BABY FOUND WRAPPED IN CLOTH HAD DIED
On June 5, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following reports of sounds coming from the roof of a house on 1593 Street in the Doğanlar neighborhood of Bornova. A newborn baby wrapped in a bloody cloth was found among the carpets.
As part of the investigation, the mother was identified, and both the mother and baby were taken to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital by medical teams. Despite the interventions made here, the baby could not be saved.
