Statements of the suspect, who caused the death of 16-year-old Kayra Atman by stabbing him in the heart in Ankara, and his father, who was taken into custody, have emerged. It was revealed that the 17-year-old suspect who committed the murder said in his statement, 'Kayra insulted me and my father, my intention was to stab him in the leg,' while his father said, 'When Kayra fell to the ground, my son ran away; I didn't see him get stabbed.'
In Ankara Etimesgut, the statements of the 17-year-old suspect who killed 16-year-old Kayra Atman by stabbing him in the heart, and his father, have been revealed. The suspect said his intention was not to kill, but to stab him in the leg, while the father claimed he did not see his son stab the victim.
STABBED IN THE HEART AND KILLED
In the incident that occurred 3 days ago in Etimesgut, high school freshman Kayra Ataman (16) allegedly argued with Burak E., who had made a remark to his friend, and was killed by being stabbed in the heart by Burak E.'s 17-year-old son, T.E.E. Ataman's body was buried in Karşıyaka Cemetery, while T.E.E. and his father Burak E., who were taken into custody, were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station and subsequently sent to prison based on the decision for a trial under arrest.
"I STABBED HIM TO PROTECT MYSELF"
In the meantime, the statements given by the suspect father and son were revealed. It was learned that in his statement, suspect T.E.E. said that his intention was not to kill Ataman, claiming, "I had seen my ex-girlfriend with Kayra, and when I went home, I was in a bad mood. Later, when my father saw my condition, he asked why I was like that. Then my father went down to the park. However, he had a scuffle with Kayra there. When he came home, his clothes were disheveled and his face was scratched. Then I took a bread knife from the house and went to the park. I asked who had hit my father. Kayra insulted my father and me. He started running toward me. At that moment, I was standing still and stabbed him to protect myself. My intention was to stab him in the leg."
"I DIDN'T SEE HIM BEING STABBED"
It was learned that suspect Burak E. said, "When I went near Kayra, I said I had come to sit and get to know him. He asked if there was a problem. T. punched Kayra on the shoulder. When the person fell to the ground, T. ran away from the park. I didn't see him being stabbed."
It was also claimed that T.E.E., who was learned to have left school after the 9th grade and started working in a factory, was a drug addict and had psychological problems.
