The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has decided to keep the name of teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who was killed by her student in Istanbul, alive at the school where she worked. In a written statement from the ministry, it was noted that the painful loss of Biology teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who lost her life as a result of an attack while on duty at Istanbul Çekmeköy Taşdelen Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School on March 2, deeply affected everyone, especially the education family. It was stated, "Our teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, one of the dedicated soldiers of the sacred profession of 'teaching,' which is the architecture of a society and the guidance of humanity, will not only be a symbol of this shared pain but also of a shared memory from now on. On this occasion, our ministry has decided to keep the name of our teacher Fatma Nur Çelik alive at the school where she worked. With this decision, which is an expression of loyalty and gratitude that a life dedicated to education will never be forgotten, the name of our teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who is a child of our noble nation that has been united with compassion, common sense, and insight for centuries in these ancient lands, will continue to live not only in one of our schools but also in hearts," it was stated.

In the continuation of the statement, it was mentioned, "The management of Borsa Istanbul, which undertook the construction of our existing school through donation, has welcomed the decision taken by our ministry with gratitude as a supporter of keeping the name of our late teacher alive at the school where she worked. We once again pray for the mercy of our late teacher, whose name will be immortalized at 'Fatma Nur Çelik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School,' where the seeds of our country's future will sprout; we extend our condolences to her family and our education community. We would like to emphasize that we will continue to take all necessary measures for the peace and security of our educational environments and the well-being of our teachers, who are the sole builders of our tomorrows," it was stated.
