The Opening Ceremony of the Police Academy's 2026-2027 Academic Year was held with the participation of Director General of Police Ali Fidan and Deputy Minister of Interior Ali Çelik. Speaking at the ceremony, Director General of Police Fidan drew attention to the critical role of the Police Academy in Turkey's security architecture. Following the program, the Turkish Golden Weapon Simulation and Training Center and the Drone Field were inaugurated.
The 2026-2027 academic year of the Police Academy began with a ceremony. At the program attended by Director General of Police Ali Fidan and Deputy Minister of Interior Ali Çelik, the importance of academic knowledge, professional experience, and technology in police training was highlighted.
NEW ACADEMIC YEAR BEGINS AT POLICE ACADEMY The Police Academy welcomed the 2026-2027 academic year with an opening ceremony. Director General of Police Ali Fidan and Deputy Minister of Interior Ali Çelik attended the ceremony. Speaking at the program, Director General of Police Fidan emphasized that the Police Academy is one of the important educational institutions shaping the future of the Police Organization. Drawing attention to the Academy's deep-rooted past and strong institutional structure, Fidan explained the importance of combining professional experience with academic knowledge for security services.
WEAPON TRAINING CENTER AND DRONE FIELD ENTERED SERVICE After the academic year opening ceremony, the program continued with the commissioning of new training areas. Director General of Police Ali Fidan and Deputy Minister of Interior Ali Çelik jointly inaugurated the Turkish Golden Weapon Simulation and Training Center. Another area inaugurated after the ceremony was the Drone Field.
DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE ALİ FİDAN MADE STATEMENTS In his speech, Director General of Police Ali Fidan stated that the Police Academy is not only an institution providing professional training, but also contributes to Turkey's development in the field of security through scientific studies. Fidan expressed that the academy is an important center of learning that stands out with its qualified education approach, where knowledge and experience are passed down from generation to generation. Emphasizing that the Police Academy's work in education and science shapes Turkey's security architecture, Fidan pointed out that the institution's academic accumulation and professional experience constitute an important value for the Police Organization.

"Our Police Academy is an exceptional center of learning that shapes the tomorrows of our organization with its deep-rooted past, strong institutional structure, and qualified education approach, where knowledge and experience are passed down from generation to generation. Here, brave volunteers are raised. Brave men who do not hesitate to lay down their lives for the peace and security of our nation—so that our crescent-and-star flag may wave forever in the skies and our calls to prayer may echo in our heavens—are prepared for their duties, equipped with love of the homeland. Here, a lofty sense of responsibility comes to life, one that accepts living for the homeland as an honor, serving the nation as a duty, martyrdom as the highest rank, and veteran status as a badge of honor to be carried for a lifetime.
Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Students, The idea of the eternal state, which lies at the foundation of our deep-rooted understanding of statehood stretching back centuries, expresses a determination based on our nation's unity and solidarity, the survival of our state, and the eternal independence of our country on these lands that were made a homeland for us through the sacrifices of our martyrs and veterans. Our Police Organization struggles on a broad field in order to fulfill the responsibility it has assumed in this direction properly. Our comprehensive area of responsibility, extending from public order to cybercrimes and from organized crime groups to the fight against drugs, makes it obligatory for us to be ready and equipped at all times. At this point, our Police Academy must continue to maintain, as a priority goal, its mission of being the locomotive of police training at the regional and international level through its qualified training staff, academic accumulation, and research activities.
Esteemed Students, Our training capacity and academic infrastructure are growing stronger day by day. Currently, 17,392 students from our country and different countries are studying at our Faculty of Internal Security, Police Chiefs Training Center, Police Vocational Training Centers, and Police Vocational Schools. Within our institutes, 562 students are receiving postgraduate education. The work carried out by our students coming from different professional groups and academic disciplines contributes to addressing security issues in a multidimensional way and enriching scientific knowledge with different fields of expertise. The most fundamental element reinforcing our Organization's strength in the field is, without doubt, the modern training opportunities required by the age. The Turkish Golden Weapon Simulation and Training Center and our Drone Field, whose openings we will shortly conduct, will stand out as one of our innovative steps in this regard. In the simulation training center we have established in a modern area of 726 square meters, there are 4 high-tech simulation classrooms and 1 air pistol shooting range. Thanks to this advanced infrastructure, we digitally measure our personnel's decision-making speed and reflex development, and raise their competencies to the highest level with artificial intelligence-supported analyses.
Dear Young People, Professional training is a continuous process of development that begins with the preparation for duty and continues with the understanding that a person must constantly renew themselves, improve their skills, and make learning a professional ethic. At every stage of the training you receive in this process, you should turn it into an important gain, internalize what you learn, and develop your ability to think analytically and evaluate events from multiple perspectives. In addition to your professional knowledge and skills, you should also strengthen your communication abilities; you must always observe the national and spiritual values of our noble nation. You should integrate your professional equipment with a strong character, your courage with insight, and your determination with common sense, and you should never forget that the uniform you wear represents a deep-rooted state tradition and a great responsibility assumed toward our nation. Our greatest expectation from you is that, when you complete your training and go to your duty stations, you make your conscience a compass and take justice and law as your guide; that you fulfill your duty with a measured and equitable attitude that respects human dignity, and that you always protect the reputation of the uniform you represent. This profession, which you will perform with a lifetime of dedication, is a sacred trust left to us by Fethi Sekin, Seher Yaşar, Zeynep Sağır, the Oruç brothers Ahmet and Mehmet, and all our heroes who have etched their names into history. You will protect this sacred trust and stand like an unshakable fortress against every kind of threat aimed at the peace of our nation.
Dear Colleagues, Under the strong leadership of our Honorable President, our country is taking historic steps in every field and advancing confidently into the future in line with the "Century of Türkiye Vision". The Century of Türkiye is a great period of rise in which the peace of our nation is strengthened and security and stability take root in every field. In line with this vision, we, as the General Directorate of Security, continue our determination in the fight against crime and criminals, uncompromisingly. From Edirne to Kars, from Sinop to Hatay, at every point of our country, we will leave no room for crime and criminals and will ensure public order and peace prevail uncompromisingly. We will never give a chance to organized crime organizations that cast covetous eyes on the honest labor and lawful earnings of our nation. We will capture one by one the drug traffickers who try to poison our children and our future and deliver them to justice. By completely drying up the financial resources of crime, we will not allow any illegitimate gain. We will not give an opportunity to any center of evil that tries to ambush our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood or to undermine the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process. In short, in order to make the "Century of Türkiye" also the "Century of Tranquility", wherever there is a hand aimed at our peace, we will continue to stand against it, to eliminate every obstacle reaching the security of our nation, and to stand guard without stopping or tiring in every corner of our homeland.
Esteemed Faculty Members; There is no doubt that your knowledge and efforts have a very large share in the respected level our Police Academy has reached today. This important duty you assume in training the qualified, well-equipped, and responsible members of our Turkish Police Organization adds strength to our organization. Your training of our youth by equipping them not only with professional knowledge but also with state consciousness, sense of duty, and professional ethics is beyond all praise. On behalf of our organization, I thank each one of you individually for your efforts and endeavors. As I conclude my words, I wish the 2026-2027 Academic Year to be auspicious and propitious for our country, our nation, our organization, our academy, and all our students.
