In Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls in the Yahyalı district of Kayseri, 13-year-old Ela Nur Çenge, who lost her life after losing her balance and falling into the stream, left behind a photo taken with her family during a picnic before the incident.
While having a picnic with her family in the Yahyalı district of Kayseri, Ela Nur Çenge lost her balance and fell into a creek. Her lifeless body was found after a 3-hour search effort. All that remained from the unfortunate girl was a photo taken with her family just minutes before the incident.
SHE LOST HER BALANCE IN AN INSTANT
The incident occurred around 18:00 yesterday in the Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls area in the Yahyalı district. According to the information obtained, Ela Nur Çenge, who came to the region from Adana with her family for a picnic, lost her balance while near the creek and fell into the water. The young girl, caught in the current, disappeared from sight in the water shortly after. Upon the family's and bystanders' reports, health, gendarmerie, AFAD, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
FOUND 4 KILOMETERS AWAY
Upon arriving at the scene, the teams launched an extensive search and rescue operation in the creek where the current was strong. After approximately 3 hours of efforts, Ela Nur Çenge's lifeless body was reached 4 kilometers away from the point where she fell into the water. The body of the unfortunate girl, retrieved from the water, was sent to her hometown of Adana for burial after autopsy procedures at the Kayseri State Hospital morgue.
ONLY THAT PHOTO REMAINED
While the family, shaken by the tragic event, was overwhelmed with tears, all that remained from Ela Nur Çenge was a last photo in which she was seen smiling with her family by the creek, apparently taken shortly before the incident.
