POLICE OFFICER FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOME
The incident occurred last night in Ayvansaray Neighborhood on Kariye İmarathanesi Street. According to the information obtained, colleagues of Police Officer Semih Gülmüş, who did not go to work, went to his home to check on him. Noticing a strong smell of natural gas coming from the apartment, his friends had the door opened with the help of a locksmith and entered. The team that opened the door found Gülmüş motionless in the house. Upon notification, crime scene investigation teams and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that the officer had died from a gunshot wound to the head.
KILLED HIS FRIEND BY DISMEMBERING HIM
As a result of the investigations, it was found that the police officer was lying on the couch with a gun in his lap, and there were traces of dried blood on the floor. Under the bed in the bedroom, a dismembered male corpse without a head was found wrapped in bags. In the kitchen, severed fingers were discovered under the counter.
The police officer's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
