In Avcılar, two individuals stopped by police on suspicion turned out to be crime machines. One suspect aimed a gun at the police and pulled the trigger, but the gun jammed. The other suspect threw his bag to the ground and fled wearing a steel vest. An AK-47 automatic rifle was seized from the discarded bag, and a phone dropped by the fleeing suspect revealed location information, photos, and vehicle details of a person. One suspect was taken into custody, while the search for the other continues.
In the Avcılar district of Istanbul, tense moments were experienced in the morning hours at the E-5 Küçükçmece Menekşe coastal area. According to allegations, a police officer noticed a motorcycle with a foldable license plate hiding its plate, proceeding from Avcılar towards the Menekşe coast of Küçükçekmece, and issued a stop warning to the suspicious individuals.

It was learned that at that moment, the suspect Mehmet B., born in 2007, who was riding the motorcycle, pointed his gun at the police officer and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. The police officer, reaching for his weapon, wounded the motorcycle driver in the hand.
HE FLED WITH A BULLETPROOF VEST, THE OTHER SUSPECT WAS CAUGHT
After the incident, one of the two suspects who tried to flee by abandoning the motorcycle, Şehmus Y., born in 1999, threw away his bag and escaped from the scene wearing a bulletproof vest. The suspect named Mehmet B. was caught by the police. Following the incident, numerous police and crime scene investigation teams were dispatched to the area. It was learned that police teams launched a large-scale operation across the city to capture the fugitive. Meanwhile, drone inspections were conducted in the vicinity for the escaped suspect.

It was reported that an AK-47 type automatic rifle was seized from the bag that the fugitive suspect Şehmus Y. discarded while fleeing. Additionally, it was learned that the suspect's dropped phone contained location information, photos, and vehicle license plate details of a person in Beylikdüzü.

Meanwhile, it was stated that the suspect Şehmus Y., born in 1999, has 25 separate criminal records including 2 counts of intentional killing, drug trafficking, 1 workplace shooting, and robbery and extortion. It was also learned that the motorcycle used by the suspects was stolen.
