A 69-year-old man tragically lost his life in Gümüşhane after being seriously injured when his licensed firearm accidentally discharged while he was trying to attach it to his waist. The incident occurred in the morning hours in the Karaer neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Vural Öz, a 69-year-old shopkeeper in Gümüşhane, was leaving his home to open his business when he attempted to place his licensed gun on his belt. At that moment, the gun suddenly fired, striking him in the abdomen, and he collapsed in a pool of blood inside the apartment building.

EXTENSIVE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT

Upon noticing Öz lying motionless on the ground, citizens alerted the authorities, prompting the dispatch of 112 Emergency Health and police teams to the scene. During the examination, medical teams determined that Vural Öz had died. Following the work of crime scene investigation teams, Öz's body was taken to the Gümüşhane State Hospital morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
