The shifting balance of power in the CHP's chairmanship following a court decision immediately resonated within the Edirne organization. A photograph of Özgür Özel, located in the CHP Edirne Provincial Directorate hall, was taken down from the wall in a move captured by cameras involving party members.
The echoes of the extraordinary leadership change and court decisions within the Republican People's Party (CHP) have begun to reflect in provincial organizations.
Following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to the CHP General Chairmanship after the court's "absolute nullity" decision, striking moments occurred at the Edirne Provincial Headquarters building.
The portrait of Özgür Özel, who was removed from the general chairmanship, hanging in the provincial headquarters meeting hall, was taken down from the wall by party members.
PORTRAIT REMOVED, PLACED ON THE TABLE
In the footage recorded at the CHP Edirne Provincial Building, a party member is seen moving toward the wall and removing Özgür Özel's framed photograph from its nail. During these moments, watched by other party members in the hall, the portrait taken from the wall was turned upside down and placed on the meeting table.
While these images were interpreted as a decrease in support for Özgür Özel in Edirne, previously, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's photograph had been thrown into the trash.
