RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin stated in his remarks regarding the issue that "the productions that our citizens feel uncomfortable with are being meticulously examined," and noted that productions alleged to violate national security in the new broadcasting period are under observation. Şahin informed the public by saying, "After necessary examinations, sanctions will be applied to productions found to violate the law."
