Following the sharp movements in prices, dealerships initiated significant discounts in the last week of the year. In fact, the price of the same model new vehicle is being sold at dealerships for 450,000 lira less than the factory price.
A period has come to an end in the automotive industry. Consumers now have the opportunity to choose the models they want, rather than just the vehicles they can find. In the last days of 2024, dealerships are working intensively, especially to clear their stocks and enter 2025 with new models.
DEALER PRICES BELOW LIST PRICES
According to a report in Dünya Gazetesi, during dealer visits, it was observed that prices were significantly below the listed prices. A price difference of up to 450 thousand lira is noteworthy. It was particularly noted that vehicles with a list price of 2.7 million lira were observed to drop to as low as 2.3 million lira at the dealership. However, it is stated that this difference varies from dealer to dealer.
DISCOUNTS BETWEEN 75 THOUSAND AND 400 THOUSAND LIRA
With the campaigns conducted in recent months, dealerships are applying different strategies to persuade consumers. Price differences stand out according to model and version. Discounts starting from 75 thousand lira can go up to 400 thousand lira for some vehicles. Discount rates vary between 4% and 13%. However, there are also models that do not go below the list prices or are offered at higher prices with accessories.
ZERO INTEREST LOAN CAMPAIGNS
Throughout December, strong price and loan campaigns continued. Special options are offered for individual and commercial customers. Some brands provide a 12-month term loan option with a 3.25% interest rate for a loan of 250 thousand lira or zero-interest loan opportunities for certain models. Zero-interest opportunities are also noteworthy for commercial purchases.
UP TO 13% DECREASE IN LABELS
The difference between the list and dealer sales prices of new vehicles, which was around 5% after the pandemic, has exceeded 13% this year.
OTHER DISCOUNTS
Significant discounts were also observed on some other models:
CHERY TIGGO 8 PRO MAX, which has a list price of 2.2 million lira, dropped to 1 million 920 thousand lira at the dealership (12% discount).
PEUGEOT 5008 GT, which has a list price of 2 million 750 thousand lira, was reduced to 2.3 million lira at the dealership with a 10% discount.
