The Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office appealed against the lack of judicial control measures applied to singer Melek Mosso, who was detained in a new operation in the drug investigation targeting celebrities.
In the investigation conducted by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, evidence obtained by the teams of the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Narcotic Crimes Combat Branch, as a result of tips and information, led to the identification of suspects Simge Sağın, İbrahim Çelikkol, Melek Mosso, Deha Bilimlier, Mustafa Ceceli, Ersay Üner, Bengü Erden, Aslı Sipahi Hacısüleymanoğlu, and İlkay Şencan, who were found to be involved in the crimes of 'purchasing narcotic or stimulant substances for personal use', 'accepting or possessing or using narcotic or stimulant substances', and 'supplying narcotic or stimulant substances'. The suspects were taken into custody. It was also stated that search and seizure operations were carried out during the operations.
9 SUSPECTS RELEASED
The suspects who provided blood and hair samples at the Forensic Medicine Institution were referred to the courthouse. While judicial control measures in the form of 'prohibition of leaving the country' were applied to suspects Simge Sağın and İlkay Şencan by the court they were brought before, Melek Mosso, İbrahim Çelikkol, Mustafa Ceceli, Deha Bilimlier, Ersay Üner, Aslı Sipahi Hacısüleymanoğlu, and Bengü Erden were released by the prosecutor's office.
PROSECUTOR'S APPEAL ON THE DECISION REGARDING MOSSO
The Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office appealed against the decision not to apply judicial control to Melek Mosso, who was taken into custody and released during the operation conducted yesterday, and sent the file to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for reevaluation.
