HE HELD HIS BREATH FOR 29 MINUTES

Maricic performed his record attempt in a hotel pool 3 meters deep located in his country's city of Opatija.

The attempt was officially monitored by judges to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Guinness World Records. More than 100 spectators witnessed the record attempt. Vitomir Maricic made history by holding his breath underwater for 29 minutes and 3 seconds and succeeded in writing his name in the "Guinness World Records."

The previous record in this field was set by Croatian athlete Budimir Sobat in 2021 with a time of 24 minutes and 37 seconds.
