In a horrifying incident in Şanlıurfa, a husband who had a restraining order against him seriously wounded his wife, whom he was in the process of divorcing, by shooting her with a pistol at a bus stop where she was waiting.
MOMENTS OF TERROR AT THE BUS STOP
The incident occurred during the afternoon at a bus stop on Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard in the Paşabağı neighborhood. According to information obtained, Emine Dişçi (60) and Ahmet Dişçi (67), who had been living separately and were going through divorce proceedings, confronted each other at the bus stop. The argument between the two quickly turned into a fight. Ahmet Dişçi drew the pistol he had with him and fired repeatedly at his wife, the mother of one child.
INJURED WOMAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
As Emine Dişçi, hit by the bullets, collapsed in a pool of blood, a great panic ensued in the area. The severely injured unfortunate woman was taken to the hospital without delay by a private vehicle with the help of bystanders. It was reported that Emine Dişçi, who was treated in the emergency room, remains in critical condition.
RESTRAINING ORDER WAS IN PLACE
After the attack, Ahmet Dişçi, who remained at the scene with the weapon in his hand, was calmed down by the intervention of those around him. Upon notification, police teams arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody along with the crime weapon.
It was revealed that there was a restraining order issued against suspect Ahmet Dişçi based on previous complaints made by his wife.
