The heavy downpour, which intensified its effect in Istanbul, also caused a road collapse after the floods. On the boulevard passing in front of the municipality building in Eyüpsultan, a large pit formed when the asphalt collapsed. While police teams took security measures to prevent vehicles from falling into the pit, traffic came to a standstill. While municipal teams intervened with excavators, citizens had difficulty reaching their homes due to the congestion.
