In the Taşlıkara neighborhood of the Siverek district in Şanlıurfa, farmers went out to pray for rain. The locals, who sacrificed animals, prayed together for rain to fall.
Residents of Taşlıkara Neighborhood, located 35 kilometers from the center of Siverek district in Şanlıurfa, went out for a rain prayer.
HUNDREDS GATHERED
In the morning hours, hundreds of people, including women and children, gathered in the neighborhood and went together to the area known as Sahabe Hill.
10 SHEEP WERE SACRIFICED
Here, the residents prayed together for rain and later ate meals prepared from the meat of the 10 sheep that were sacrificed.
"WE WENT OUT FOR A RAIN PRAYER AS A FAMILY DUE TO DROUGHT"
Resident Sefer Sarıçiçek stated that the lack of rainfall has worried them, saying, "As residents of the neighborhood, we went out for a rain prayer as a family due to the ongoing drought in our region. We sacrificed animals and prayed for rain."
