When I heard Yalova, it felt like a burning coal inside me. I called, but I couldn't reach him. It fell into my heart that 'my son is gone.' I called but couldn't reach him. May Allah grant him paradise. May Allah not show anyone the pain of losing a child," he said.

The martyr's mother, Kevser Külünk, said, "My second son brought us the news, saying, 'My brother has been martyred.' We were devastated, I never imagined that something like this would happen to me, I wasn't expecting it. It's very hard, unbearable. May Allah help us. I have 4 children; 3 are boys, and he was the oldest who was martyred. My grandchild is calling his aunt, saying, 'My father has been martyred, aunt.' The news spread from there. He was due for retirement, it had been over a year. His daughter was pursuing a master's degree. She said, 'I want to make my child a public servant.' He has one daughter. Her goal was to become a district governor," she said.
